Dragon Goal: No Regrets

Discipline.

It’s necessary for success.  It’s not easy.  It IS rewarding.  It can certainly be painful…

but I don’t do regrets.

I can honestly say, in my entire life, there is only one thing I would even consider changing. And even then, it’s not something I would do or undo, but maybe just change the timing of a little.

But even then, who knows what that would change in my life? It’s not that my life is completely perfect, because it’s not. But I love, so much, what I have now and I am so thoroughly excited about what the future holds. I know that changing any one thing in the past, changes far more than one thing as the years go by.

That said, I’m not sure, given the opportunity, I would change anything about the past 35 years. I certainly know, going forward, I want to honestly, truthfully, and wholeheartedly say, “I have no regrets.” I never want to look back and wonder, “What if…

I’m sure this picture below speaks to you as much as it speaks to me. I choose discipline over regret any day. I know living with discipline is not easy, but it’s soooooo worth it! So worth it, in fact, that I’m always looking for ways to get more disciplined in one area of life or another because I just KNOW the results will speak for themselves and pay off big time.

What about you?  Discipline or Regret?

What’s your choice?

Dragon Style Fitness and Challenge: Spartan Race

Neither my husband nor I have ever done a Spartan Race, but it sure looks like “fun!” It’s exactly the kind of crazy extreme challenge a Dragon could get into. In fact, I’m quite sure my husband has mentally added a Spartan Race to his list of things to do, of challenges to accept, once he has 6 months to a year of CrossFitting under his belt.

If you’ve never heard of a Spartan Race before, here’s some information…

Spartan Race is an obstacle course race is designed to test your resilience, strength, stamina, quick decision making skills, and ability to laugh in the face of adversity. We want to own obstacle racing and our unique obstacle course trail races will demand every ounce of your strength, ingenuity, and animal instinct.

Why Spartan? Because the Spartans were tough as nails. Why race our obstacle course races? Because we all thrive under pressure, survival of the fittest.

Same Choices, Same Problems

same choices same mistakes - blaming othersWhen you make poor choices that cause you problems, those problems are YOUR fault.

The quicker you accept and understand that, the faster you can begin preventing those problems from happening again.

Blaming something or someone else for problems you created with your choices practically ensures running into those same problems over and over and over again. If you think you can make the same bad decisions and somehow avoid problems that come as a result you’re wrong.

That’s so not “dragon!”  Get that fallacy out of your head this instant!

Dragons know, if you want different results, YOU must make different choices, rather than just hope someone else does a better job covering your butt next time.

you take responsibilityTake responsibility for the choices you make and deal with the source, you.  It’s the fastest way to making improvements in your life and avoid making costly mistakes time and time again.
